WHO

Summit Church Montrose is a fairly new church plant (first service was January 2021), sponsored by SEND Network a branch of the North American Mission Board. Locally, SCM was originally planted by the Iglesia Verdad y Vida congregation and Pastor John and Debra DeSario with the support from The Colorado Baptists. 

We are currently seeking a new pastor. Together we share the wonderfully restored Old Menoken Schoolhouse.

WHAT

We are a wonderful mix of people! We have young families, singles, retirees, babies, toddlers, elementary, middle, and high school aged children. We come together from different backgrounds to worship, serve, and grow in the knowledge and goodness of Christ.

WHEN

Sunday services at 9am

followed by delicious snacks, coffee, and fellowship.

We also meet for prayer, Bible Study, meals, and fellowship. See Events for dates and times.

WHERE

Summit Church Montrose meets in the Old Menoken Schoolhouse

WHY

SCM was started to reach Montrose and the surrounding areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Some of our core values are:

• Preach the Truth of The Gospel

(Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free, John 8:32)

• Recognize we can know and understand the Bible through reading and studying

(Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart, Psalm 119:34)

• Live life with friends and neighbors

(Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another, Hebrews 10:25)

​

• Share the hope and peace found in a personal relationship with Christ

(Therefore, since we have been justified through faith,

we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1)

COME & SEE

We welcome anyone seeking God’s love and forgiveness through the Gospel of Jesus Christ or someone who is just starting out and has questions. We hope to see you soon!

Sundays at 9am we have childcare provided during the sermon for babies up to kindergarten/first grade.

We delight in hearing the sounds of children. We recognize their value.
